MuslimFest // 2015 Festival Design and Collateral

MuslimFest is an annual celebration of culture, food, art, and entertainment. Held in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, the festival has grown each summer to attract over 20,000 attendees.

For the 2015 festival — its 12th year running — I was tasked with breathing new life into the 2-day event. While ensuring brand familiarity was carried over from previous years, a vibrant visual aesthetic was introduced to better reflect the event’s ambience.

Every touchpoint was considered — from promotional materials and advertising, program booklets, signage, digital displays, and merchandise. A custom illustrated map was also introduced for the first time, to help attendees navigate the festival grounds.

Reception to the design was overwhelmingly positive with festival organizers, sponsors, and attendees saying the event had never looked better.
